Studied at Liverpool University (1927-32). Worked briefly in Germany before moving to Ireland. Worked with Frederick G. Hicks on the hospital building programme. On Hick's retirement in 1945, Hope took over the practice. Received the RIAI Gold Medal for the Aspro Factory in 1950. Served as a Council Member in the RIAI and in the RIBA.
