Architecture of Adare, Limerick

The name Adare is derived from Áth Dara, meaning 'the ford of the oak' and was historically a crossing point on the river Maigue. Renowned as one of Ireland's prettiest villages, Adare is designated as a Heritage Town by the Irish government.
